Wireless high ping problem

hi all..
i’ve an rb 433AH for base-station, 2x r52H works at 5Ghz 20mhz,
network configured in bridging mode, arp enable, stp disable ( no loop in network )

i’ve use 6 CPE ubnt NS5/PS5 at distance between 2-6km.

in a last days ping increase.. from 4-5ms to 8000ms.
there is no Qos, adaptative noise immunity is disable, no compression, no nstreme, no wmm
Ack is Ok on cpe and rb ( rb is on auto) Txccq is Ok > 75% for all station, rate is good…

example:
64 bytes from 10.0.0.176: icmp_seq=738 ttl=64 time=1457 ms
64 bytes from 10.0.0.176: icmp_seq=739 ttl=64 time=1357 ms
64 bytes from 10.0.0.176: icmp_seq=741 ttl=64 time=1347 ms
64 bytes from 10.0.0.176: icmp_seq=742 ttl=64 time=1348 ms
64 bytes from 10.0.0.176: icmp_seq=743 ttl=64 time=1438 ms

Any idea?

best regards giuseppe

there is no Qos

That is your problem.

there is low traffic like 500kbit/s or lower

Can you report more info on devices configuration and network topology?

The ping: from/to have performed?

I may be wrong, but try to see if your P2P traffic(if you have any) is going crazy. I had some problems with the number of connections maded by clients using Ares and that just cracked my network. I had to block p2p traffic to make things work normally again. Just torch your network and see what ip has LOTS of connections open, try to disconnect that client and see if it normalize the ping. Hope it helps!!!

agreed. as mentioned, p2p can bring these networks to their knees.

The problem is no QoS on CPE, not on MT.
