Wireless interface questions - SR2/SRC

Hello,

I have seen much discussion of the different interfaces and the good/bad comments about them. What I haven’t seen is anything definite as to if the SR2 and SRC work well with RB230 and 2.9.8.

I am in the process of deploying a couple of Mikrotik RB230 AP to replace existing infrastructure. It doesn’t look like the Prism based cards are going to be the best choice for our setup. I am now looking at the SR2 and SRC, but have seen so much discussion on them that it is difficult to sort it all out.

My question is - What is the best interface for 802.11b on the RB230 in multi-point AP mode? Is the SR2 better or the SRC? Is there a different high powered interface that would be better?

I have been running 2 SRC cards in a RB230 and it is looking good as far as power goes. I am going to add a SR2 too see if the poer is a problem. I’ll let you know how it goes.

That’s good news. Have you seen any problems with throughput, deauthentication issues, etc?
