hello, i have an issue regarding m wireless signal, i have RB 112 with sr2 card with onni antenna 15db, the signal was good but now i have problems, because the Overall Tx CCQ was 95% and now is under 40%. Why this happend, is that a problem with my radio or interference near it?

Omni’s are well-known for picking up static and blowing your wireless card. The card will still work, but very poorly. Omni antenna’s are NOT DC grounded, even though some less experienced sales people might tell you they are. The best would be not to use an Omni, rather use some sectors, or ask an RF engineer to build you a very simple DC Grounding circuit. It’s basically a T-junction with a 50ohm resister which is earthed, but you need some experienced RF engineer to build it for you.

Thankx for the useful link. I am not from an RF background and am always very happy to learn from RF people! I consult with some RF friends whenever I’m unsure, as they almost forgot years ago what we still have to learn!

There are higher-end Omni’s that are DC Grounded.
In regards to the OP’s question…
Have your signal strengths dropped or just the CCQ?
