wireless link 5ghz+video streaming

Hi to all,

i have a wireless link at 5ghz distance is about 1km. Used equipment:
rb433+cm9 minipci card +35dbi parabolic dish antennas. That is same on both sides.
I want to transfer video stream from location number 1 to location number 2.

My latency is great about 1ms to 4ms max but i have a like a small minimal breaks on my video stream, but there are visible.

I was try a few frequency and it is a same. My bw throughput is ok about 25Mbps in both direction and i use just about 2Mbps.

What i need to setup to make this works?

Maybe to use some queing ?
Maybe to make nstreme dual link?

Thanks to all in advance

by streaming you think UDP packets and multicast?

the 35 dbi parabolic dish is too much for a 1 km link.

check signal strength, if it is above -45dBi reduce power on wireless cards. It is usual when signal is too strong that link quality decreases or even you can blow out receiving wireless interface.

Janis do you see any blowing out receiving wireless interface? It just decrease link true output if you can’t reduce TX power.

I use udp unicast streaming. Signal level is -55. I use default tx power.

What you think?

Thanks

Can you run high speed ping over wireless link and check delay status. May be problem is not in wireless connection.

That is not a problem. I was started streaming with about 5Mbps bw usage, and test latency. It is always about 1-3ms and no drop any packet.
Also i can see a little bw usage on another channel it is about 150Kbps.

Maybe full duplex link can solve the problem?

decrease the power if u r going to use the same antenna and run it on full duplex.
is it a link streaming both ways or just one site transmitting to another?

I stream from one site to another. It is one direction, but i have a control messages on another direction and use about 100-150kbps. Streaming channel use about 2Mbps. I dont wont to use one minipci card to run full duplex. I think about nstreme dual.

Does anybody has a expirience with video streaming and some problems?

Thanks

Have you tried nstreme? with an exact framer policy of 2100-2500 bytes. Also the cm9 is not a very robust card. In terms of constant transmission. Its a very lightweight card. Invest in a decent pair of mpci cards with heatsinks and all.

I have video watch system on one place. Distance ~ 1km AP with 90 degree sector antenna, clients with 12dBi flat panel. RB411+R52 in all places. Work perfect.Total traffic to AP ~ 15mbit, but it’s not video in non-stop. Each camera make one picture in 1-2sec.

You don’t really need dual nstreme for such a low bandwidth, especially one way. As someone previously said, try changing CM9 card to something else, for example UB5 or R5H. I don’t really think you can get anything better. 35db antennas are way to serious for this kind of job  Try enabling nstreme first. Check your CCQ, try to use another channel and so on. Constant playing with some settings will get you there sooner or later. We have even longer links here with serious bandwidth demands working like a charm. And we use various directional and sector antennas no stronger than 19dbi, while radios are mostly R5H. In the beginning there’s always something wrong with one link or another, so don’t worry, your situation doesn’t look impossible at all.

Hi,

i dont think that problem can be in cm9 card, they always works great for me. CCQ for link is 100/100, link is perfect, i was try to change frequency and i was try almost all of them also and 5Ghz turbo. The main problem is in that video is really sensitive, and i need a full realtime,
it is not just a video camera streaming. It cant be a problem with jitter because i was try to use buffering and same problem exist.

Only i have idea with full duplex, and maybe change cards to try.

I will try and post here if success

Are you sure the problem has to do with the wireless link? Could it possibly have something to do with another part of your network or possibly your pc?

hi !..everybody its vijay

what mode u using encoder = decoder mode

im using 2 km encoder=decoder mode its take 8mbps no prblm im using r52h both side 5.8 dish Normal mode But enable Nstream tic

now i broadcosting one Local tv Channel its working Perfect No one Stills Hanging pure real time

I use decoder and encoder with MPEG4 stream PAL via UDP.

Which encoder-decoder devices you use? From which vendor and prices?

Thanks

im using Hormonic Encodes And Decodes its Neer 6laks http://www.harmonicinc.com/

Im Using hormonic encoder and decoder its cost neer INR 6Laks..Pair go and refer http://www.harmonicinc.com/ here

Thank u

you do not have wireless issue here, have you tried to stream ovet UTP cable on ethernet to see if your problem is in software part.
