Wireless Link fails on rain --> reboot everything perfect

I have 2 p2p Links with rb500 @ 5GHz. One Links is about 2km and the other is about 1km.
the connection is good at normal weather @-70dbm. when i have heavy rain,@ first nothing happens. suddenly the link breaks off with -95dbm (directly from -70dbm to -95dbm). when i reboot the rb500 that is in bridge mode (its still raining) the connection is @ -70dbm and stays stable. if i do not reboot the bridge, the p2p link doesn´t come back working. the both p2p ends do not find together without a reboot.

is there any idea about that problem or anybody who has the same or similar problems.

i generated a supout.rif that can be found here: http://www.hostalka.com/sup.rif

which cards do you use?R52?it have some problems with signal…

hi … i have :

AR5212 802.11abg NIC (rev: 1)

… are there known bugs with that hardware ?

We had a similar problem once, and it was because the connection between the LMR cable and the antenna wasn’t sealed properly. Water got in the connector and everything started running screwy.. Subs dropped in and out, signals were poor, and performance was poor.

Although rebooting the router didn’t seem to have any effect.. which is odd in your case.

Might be wise to start at the physical layer and work your way back to the router, make sure all connectors are properly sealed and weather tight.

so … now i had that phenomenon again … but this time i watched it life.

heavy rain begins → the cunter of the “last activity” field counts up to 60s → the suddenly when it had counted to 60s the same link appears a second time …and stays.
see the screen

after that i generated 2 supouts …

the best you can see at supout2 i think.

when the second link has appeard the link stays stable.

supout1http://www.hostalka.com/supout1.rif
supout2http://www.hostalka.com/supout2.rif

lets correct something … not stable .. i had to reboot again to get it working.
the link just says that it is working (pic above)… but isn´t.
reboot–> everythings ok !
when the link appears twice … the link is down although it seem to be running.

we have fixed the bug with the dublicate wireless clients - it will be in the next release of v2.9.

can you see the origin why the last activity field counts up and finally the connection gets lost ? … will this also be fixed ?

is the double registration of wireless links solved in the 2.9.2 version ?
i can´t find this point in the changelog ..but support told me it will be solved in this version …
