I’m still new the wireless game but have done about 30 success full links, but all have been done with UBNT and not Mikrotik.
Now I have another link that I’m struggling with where Mikrotik units are being used. This are a private link and properly a bit more complicated than all my previous links, they all were close and perfect LOS.

They are not that far from each other and theoretically have LOS

The Units that are used are two Groove A-52HPn Units both installed with a 12dbi OMNI Antenna. Running in the 5.8Ghz band.
I went for Mikrotik for a few reasons mainly being that it has so much more to offer than UBNT as UBNT are just a plug and play unit. As this are for myself I want all the extra features and settings that the Mikrotik’s can offer and I also seen this as a great link to learn the Mikrotik product, might just start using them through out. Both Omni’s are mounted quite high up, “I think”.
Set up all the basic settings before installation and they picked up, Still had some bridging work ect to be done but the wireless worked and I could link to both units in the winbox effort free. Thus ready for installation. Now after its installed I have no joy at all from these units.
Scanning but no SSID are picked up, Nothing in the frequency list shows remotely my units.
Are there some place where I can set the Gain level? are I missing something? Please help… Any questions or advice will be appreciated.
