Wireless mesh scenario

Hello,

I have 2 rb532 with 2 sector antennas and one building (campus) to achieve wireless access on campus park. No possible wds link between the routers, but the routers are connected to same VLAN in two switch.
Scenario: make seamless roaming to wireless clients walk building one side to the other side, but it needs to secure (only registered users can connect with wireless). Seamless roaming is needed, user cannot re-register on AP when walk to building other side.
Please give me ideas how to authorize the clients on 2 rb532 at once or any other ideas are welcome.

Thanks,
Willy

I would try putting the AP’s on each unit into a bridge with the VLAN interfaces in order to bridge it all together. Then I would use a Radius authentication by MAC address to “authorize” clients. The clients would, in fact, be reauthorizing when they roamed between units, but that would not be apparent to the user. I would also tailor the Connect entries to try and bump off roaming users when their signal strength drops too low to force their laptops to reconnect to the other AP; otherwise, the laptop may take a long time to finally figure out it’s lost connection to the first AP and scan for another. Of course, this presumes that a roaming user is moving away from one AP towards another and not away from both.
