Hello,
My goal was to make roaming WIFI network with the help of WDS for one building / warehouse.
The problem is i followed this http://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Wireless_WDS_Mesh guide but it doesn’t explain everything in detail.
All my WIFI’s are configured correctly as i can disable them 1 by one and connect to them without problems even when all are turned on.
Now when i create Mesh1 and add it on RB921 ,add port “Wired LAN bridge with WIFI” or “Vlan bridge with virtual AP” on any one router, all is fine the mesh is created in interface tab and that RB912 is working as it should.
Now when i create Mesh1 in second RB921 router ir doesn’t appear in interfaces but it does show FDB connection from 1 router and this router i just configured.
But here is the problem the network starts to disconnect clients and I can’t seem to connect to the second router anymore where i added Mesh no matter what, even with MAC and directly attached wire to it. As long as I’m connected and don’t disconnect i can configure router. The problems appears after i disconnect.
I Thoth at first that i miss configured something so i tried it on third router but the problem still persists!!!
I can see all the clients from router 2 and router 3 in Mesh->FDB tab in the 1. router i configured but i can’t connect to the second and third routers anymore… I don’t even see them in Winbox not even their MAC or Identity.
All bridges have RSTP enabled but what can i do in this situation i need the Mesh so that when users move from 1 location to another they don’t lose WIFI connection.
What did i do wrong?
So my questions are:
1)Do i need to enable RSTP on all bridges - > on all RB912 bridges and on all 750UP bridges for WDS to work?
2)When adding in mesh RB912 bridge1 or bridge2 i can’t connect to router i dont see mac nor identity in Winbox, BUT wifi works fine i can connect and work with it. What did i do wrong?
3)How to prevent WIFI Clients from disconnecting while Roaming and using RDP?
