Hi.
i would like to install a point to point wireless network with mikrotik and i will use a voip line just with FXO and FXS
i wanna know if mikrotik is transparent for it i will use and ap and a station
do i have to make another config to get voip inside the wireless network ?
YOu can use it without problems.
For ptp is better to use WDS links.
For voip you need a fix ping from point to point. If you have 80% ping of 5ms and 20% with 80ms, you will have jitter in the voip.. You need a good CCQ.
Ibersystems, thanks for the answer. I am usually pretty versed in this subject myself but I couldn’t figure this problem out until I saw your post.
thanks again,
-jim
you are welcome! ; )
VoipSipSdk
I am now looking for voip solutions. And found information about Voip sdk.
According to their website www.voipsipsdk.com
Voip sdk is based on IETF standards (SIP, STUN, etc.), so it should be compatible with other standard based products such as Asterisk, OpenSER other.
They have all features I need:
Dynamically loadable codecs
Registrar support
Play wav files into conversation
Record conversation into file
Hold/Retrieve call
Forward Call (Blind Call Transfer)
Transfer Call (Attended Transfer)
Mute Sound
VPN support
Noise reduction
Auto gain
Jitter buffer parameters
Samples on Delphi, C#, VB, VB.NET, C++ 2005, C++ 6.0, HTML (SIP ActiveX)
Windowless samples on C++ and .NET
DTMF
Adaptive silence detection
Adaptive jitter buffer
STUN support
Comes as ActiveX control
But before I will download the evaluation version I would like to hear other people experience.
why not Asterisk? =)
Hallo what is a good ccq? My ccq is mostly 97%/100% when there is no traffic on it. But then i do a bandwidth test then the ccq will jump between 74 and 100%. I have reduced the data rates from 36mbit to 12mbit. The signal also jumps between -68 and -84. And the signal to noise between 21db and 36db
Thanx
