i’ve got the wireless mini pci card 4.9GHz but i don’t know how to set the to 0x842 in the MADWIFI driver to enable the public safety channels. please put me through

Did you get it figured out?? I set the country code to Japan3, and it enables the channels needed. However make sureof your license before you use it, as you can go lower than the licensed portion of the band, as well as higher into the un-licensed portion of 5.3.

Also, If you don’t mind posting your setup, i’d be interested! I’m using it for Public safety here, and having great luck so far! Deploying my second and third link (of Mikrotik) the end of this month.

Why Madwifi and not ROS? I have some public safety links up with RouterBoards and SR4. I used the superchannel license. Just curious why you are loading a different OS?
