I’m fairly new to wireless networking and just looking for a bit of help. We currently have a network in a building that is a bit up and down and I’m looking to fix this. The network looks like this.
Now the Left AP and the RB112’s connected to it are on a ssid for exmaple of Hotspot 1 and right AP and it’s RB112’s are on a ssid of Hotspot 2. The Two AP’s that connect back to the 532 both are in WDS connecting via 5GHz. I’m not sure if these AP’s would interfere with each other because they’re not actually connected to each other themselves, purely only through the 532. Now sometimes the WDS link for Left AP goes down and then the RB112’s connecting to it go down also, I want to have it so that they’d automatically reconnect to the RightAP until the Left AP comes back up. Basically I’m looking for some redundancy. I’ve only got the one 5Ghz antenna on the 532 and I know some of you will suggest to have two, and have two seperate links to the Left AP and Right AP however I can only have one as it’s in an office. Really, I’m looking for some help to make this a little more reliable for the customer. I’ve looked on the MikroTik site for documents however I couldn’t find any. Any suggestions, links to documents, how-to’s etc would be appreciated. Thanks.
