I know its a bit of off-topic, but still related to wireless networking in terms of wireless networking business revenue model. Actually i want to install a wireless PTP link between two locations over 10Km distance for a client who wants to connect its remote branch office with main head office at city. I am going to integrate Mikrotik devices at both ends for this wireless network connectivity and connectivity is not issue for me. The client is using national telco based ISP’s lease line connectivity. Now the actual problem to me is that in my this PTP wireless link connectivity i don’t want to get paid for one time setup installation costing for this link connectivity, rather i would like to provide this PTP link on small monthly rental basis with free of costing installation with my own hardware setup on his premises to use this PTP private wireless link in order to connect his two sites and if he no longer need the link in future i can discontinue with the link by dismantling the setup and collecting the network hardware from his sites.
I am preferring to charge for this wireless PTP link on per Km/Mile bases for this PTP link renting model. Secondly, he is asking to me for one time setup for this link, but i am not in favor of providing of this one time installation as per my business strategy.
I would like and really appreciate to get more suggestions on this that is there any renting/leasing business model for PTP link connectivity between two sites as i think we can utilize and monetize our network system integration knowledge more efficiently.
