wireless performance

Hello guys, attached is a print screen with signal levels. The Tx varies from 78% up to 90% and the Rx varies from 95% up to 100%. The P throughput varies almost always is around 11mbit but sometimes drop down to 5mbits and goes up again to 11mbit. With these values what would be your advise to get more throughput on this point to point link, taking in consideration that the channel width is 10Mhz and Nstreme Enabled.

I have read from other posts that its good to have a framer policy set to best fit and have CSMA disabled. Would you agree?

Hardware used in both sides is identical: RB433, XR5 set to tx power mode “default”, Frequency 5565MHz, Noise floor reported to be at -95dBm, Antenna Gain 29dBi and approximately 11kms apart - full line of sight, Rate selection default, adaptive noise immunity set to ap and client mode.

hi, Ignacio something must be wrong, I have a 30Km link XR5+ant29 db +433AH in 30Mbps

I changed the channel to 20MHz, attached you can see what I get. Theoretically I am getting more P Throughput but my Tx CCQ is not as good as in 10MHz, I see a change in signal level as well as in noise floor. When I use the Freq. Usage tool in both towers of the link, it shows nothing that could be bothering my signal. Anything you could advise me with? I see that the P. Throughput varies quite frecuently unlike other links I have.

Anything in the configuration that I should be checking?

Am… something is wrong … 10 km with that equipment and u have 69/69 dbm (which is actually your problem) ?
Thats not a software problem
Recheck your antennas’ position
check your coax cable and the connections for water…

Thats what I usually do

  1. channel-width=40mhz-turbo
  2. name=“wlan1” enable-nstreme=yes enable-polling=yes disable-csma=yes framer-policy=exact-size framer-limit=3200ou
  3. for 10 km and more… tx-power=maximum for the card Im using

It goes very good for me always
