Wireless rate drops after several minutes

Hi all,

I’ve faced the following problem with MicroTik HAP AC2 router. When streaming 4K video to LG TV in my local WLAN, after some period of time (4-8 min) the rate drops from ~100 Mbps to 3-5 Mbps. Sometimes it goes back after couple of minutes, otherwise only router reboot helps.

In 5GHz AC you can set data rates from default to configured and then go to VHT rates tab, very high throughput tab, and remove some basic and supported rates…

This way your rate will not fall to low speeds… However you might have disconnections etc.. Your rate goes low for a reason… Did you test different frequencies ?
