Wireless seamless roaming with mesh

Hi

Is there a posibility to create a seamless roaming solution for voip using mikrotik wireless?

I saw that mesh accepts ethernet ports as well. Can you also use vlans with it like a bridge so you can have 1 vlan for data and 1 vlan for voice in a mesh?

Something like this:

Internet
|
Main RB1100 <----------> Ethernet port 1 AP1 RB751
<----------> Ethernet port 1 AP2 RB751
<----------> Ethernet port 1 AP3 RB751

My main goal is to use this setup for wireless phones so i can’t have network fails while moving from AP to AP

Using same SSID over different channels and bridge ehter + Wlan does not work since WPA will take some time when switching from AP to AP

I think WDS works like this but in WDS the transport is only on wireless not on ethernet and also the traffic with WDS seams really low (without WDS a bw test was 30Mb with WDS same RB751 AP was 10-12Mb)

If anyone knows a way please let me know

Atm i can test only with 2 AP but i can get 1 more AP no problem. Also how can i add vlan/trunk on mesh? I haven’t found any documentation on that.

Thank you

you should try to forgot about this…

Try to put radio in bridge with eoip and do everything from some central mt,never tried but could be a start.

I cant believe Mikrotik doesn’t have a solution for this?
I have been trying with everything i can read… WDS over wifi,
but i have a setup that has handfuls of grooves, all with Ethernet connections
customer is about to have me rip it out, because the switching from AP to AP interrupts long enough to time out their sales applications.
I knew i should have stuck with Juniper.

Is there a way to use mesh without WDS?
