Hello,
I am trying to create a small Wireless network for home use.
The deal is to get the full speed of a Fiber optic connection of 50Mbits/s to be able to watch HD programs anywhere in the house.
To achieve that, 4 LAN cables were added to connect the main router, a RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN with 2 cAP2n for indoor use and 2 OmniTIK U-5HnD for outdoor use.
The Wi-Fi area is covered by :
Downstairs :
- Main living room : RB2011UiAS-2HnD-IN
- Bedroom 1 : cAP2n
- Terace : OmniTIK U-5HnD
Upstairs :
- Bedroom 2 : cAP2n
- Terace : OmniTIK U-5HnD
This is a quite big villa with wood doors between rooms.
I’ve tried to set up Capsman on the main router and was able to bound and manage both cAP2n and OmniTIK U-5HnD with it but not the Wi-Fi interface from the router itself…
For the bedrooms (cAP2n), the speed is fluctuating between 10 and 50Mbits/s for download and a bit more for upload (60Mbits/90Mbits was achieve using a LAN cable directly connected to the main router)
My questions :
- How much throughput can we get with the cAP2n? Should I get a bigger one?
- 40Mhz channel is not possible on the cAP2n, right?
- Which settings do you recommend for cAP2n?
- How to bound the Wi-Fi interface to Capsman on the same router? Is it possible?
(Actually I can see that the interface is managed by Capsman but no configuration is applied to it but I did set one for it)
Thanks in advance!
