We are using two 633’s on a central location with 120 degrees antenna’s as a central access point. There are 6 clients (also using 633’s) connected to it using EoIP bridges. Most of the clients are connected on a 54/54 mbps rate with CCQ’s between 90 and 100%. Most clients are limited in bandwidth to 5/5 mbps. We want to set one client to unlimited throughput, but we don’t get more than 12 to 14 mbps (upstream) and 700 kbps (downstream) on the wireless interface (even while all other clients are using no traffic at all). I have disabled connection tracking, but that doesn’t seems to help. We are not using any firewall rule or NAT.
I think you are seeing noise on the ap side that is causing a slow down. Try doing a frequency usage scan using 5mhz then 10mhz then 20mhz then 40mhz if it applies to the band you are using. When testing see which onesshow the highest noise level. I have a competitor on a tower with me and he is using a conoy backhaul unit and when I do a frequency usage scan I can see what channel he is using by doing this and it covers both frequencies beside it as well. Basically it uses up three channels and leaves them horrible to use. Good luck
I did change the wireless to 5 Ghz Turbo and the throughput then increases slightly to 20 mbps. The Rx/Tx rate on the wireless interface goes to 54 mbps2/54 mbps2.
The noise floor on the AP side is around -89 dBm. On the client side the signal strenght Rx/Tx are around -50/-50 dBm. Noise floor is also -89 dBm and Signal to Noise 44 dB.
The P-throughput on both the AP and client shows est. 55000 kbps.
