We were working great for months. Then the XR2 card disappears from /interface wireless. Why does it do this? I rebooted and it comes back. It keeps on doing it over and over. Rebooting fixes it. Using RouterOS 3.4

To start I would upgrade to 3.10 - there have been a lot of changes…
I am doing this tonight.
Wireless cards disappearing is usually caused by a short. Check to see if everything is ok inside of your case.
We use M1 cases. I can check but I don’t see how that could be possible. About a month ago it happened on another ap. I swapped cards and it still disapeared. Upgrading to 3.10, the problem has came back as of yet.
It’s happening to me too. the wlan card disappear when I boot my RB for the first time, reboot didn’t solve this also but when I uninstall the card physically and put the card back in to the wlan slot then it solved the problem, don’t know what’s going on maybe a short problem as jonbrewer said.
Thanks
I just have to reboot on mine. Did you check your pins. Make sure nothing is in both sides on the mini pci.
We have just upgraded a previously stable (for months) AP to 3.10 and all of a sudden, after 24 hours, the wlan1 interface disappeared. I did a reboot and it came back.
Not good.
Board: RB500r5
Card: R52, manual tx power: default, 11 clients
Bridge mode, one wireless interface, only doing job of AP, not backhaul, etc.
I stopped having the problem but I believe it to be illegal power in the same frequency. Once I have time I am going to spectrum analyze again. Right now I do not know for sure.
