I’ve got an RB532 with a two mini-pci daughter card. I have wireless cards in both the daughter cards slots and one on the main board, but the daughter card wireless interfaces never show up in the running state. I’m using all cards in “station” mode.
The RB532 is on boot loader 2.18 and v3.25 of RouterOS.
Do the cards slots on the main board need to be fully populated before the daughter card slots will work?
No, daughterboard cards should work without requirement, that mainboard is full.
Please, make sure that wireless card, which is not working in the daugterboard, actually works in the mainboard.
Your wireless cards will not show running until they are connected to another radio. In your case, when you connect your station to an access point (AP or Bridge mode), it will show running.
Or if you want them to show as running when not connected to AP disable the running check…
