WISP Network

Hi,

I have a question about network configuration.

I have the attached Network configuration.

The client uses PPPoE Authentication. The RB1000 on the nodes connected to the AP works as NAS. I made the QoS via DSCP.
This configuration works fine, the problem is that I’m releasing Public IP to my customers dynamically using different subnet pool on each NAS. In this way I’m wasting a lot of IP.
To save IP, I would like to centralize the NAS on the Front End RB1000, use only one pool and initialize an EoIP, or L2TP, tunnel between the RB1000s on each nodes and the Front End RB1000. In this way all the packet are incapsulated inside the PPPoE & inside the Tunnel so I’m not able to make the QoS. How Can I solve this problem?

In this configuration Haw can I use the WMM?

Thanks in advance.

Hello fabarca,

My network is very similar to what you want. Did you find how to handle with QoS with the traffic inside the EoIP tunnel?

Regards

you can add a radius in your network, or set up your front end rb1000 as radius to lease public ips pools
