Wixbox.exe error

I have Win10 pro , and Winbox was working just find , then it stop working., winbox start fine , it does see the router NP ., Then I click on either the MAC or IP address ., it starts to load to enter the router, just after the plugin’s tries to load., winbox error’s out., i tried another profile , on the same computer and it works , the web works fine . any Ideas what might of happened

Are you using latest winbox? (3.11)

Does it happen if you run it as admin?

yes on 3.11 and yes i run it as admin.. i going to turn off unc to see if that works

In the problematic windows profile, go to:
C:\Users<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Mikrotik\Winbox

Close Winbox if open.
Create a folder called Backup, move all the folders in the backup folder.
Delete registry key HKCU\Software\Mikrotik
Run winbox again, does it work now?

If not, use procmon from system internals to track IO of Winbox. It’ll tell you what Winbox is trying to do but can’t.

Software Restriction Policies enabled?
Antivirus blocking the DLLs running from the roaming appdata?

I fixed the problems using a debugger ., the problem was nothing with the app., but how i was using winbox., i was double clicking on the “Neighbors → MAC Address” link ., so I tried to go directly to the Connect button , and it works every time ., the MAC Address is already populated in the "Connect to " box ., the issue was double clicking on the MAC address in the list first. then I just click on the Connect button ., that’s it., the debugger walk me though the process of opening and connecting to the router
