the wireless interfaces disconnect several times. once for a long time. the connection was recovered god knows how.

this is an ap-bridge with four wireless interfaces CM9 an Lan ethernet nic, intergaded on board, 2,6 Cel D, 256MB RAM

the client’s log contains nothing similary such as wireless info, etc.

can anybody herp?

thank you

Regarding extensive data loss, just get used to seeing it. Everytime a client disconnects, it gives that log. However, something I found out by experience is that the client radios tend to drop their power when they are idle. So, it might be that the drop is so high that the client is getting disconnected.

Ping the client continuously and see on the registration if his signal strength becomes better. We have clients that are 28km away from Omnis or sectors and we get the same log when they are idle. Also for clients going through trees ie weeker signals tend to lose connection when idle.

If the ping test didn’t help, then consider upgrading that client’s antenna, radio etc.

my questions was what means any log message (see below [1], [2], [3] log lines) in the fragment posted above.

[1]. 01:45:26 wireless,info wlan2: lost connection to 00:0B:6B:36:B8:14, no beacons

[2]. 01:45:28 wireless,info wlan2: failed to connect to 00:0B:6B:36:B8:14, join timeout

thank you, simonkizi, you’re almost right, but not quite… i found the problem and i wanna share my stupid experience. the problem is water in antenna’s n-connector. low signal level (20-25dBm higher) and inpossibility to connect finally. i lose the link and go to see what happend. then i found many water in antenna connector. after the connectors got dried everithing’s fine and old signal levels were back.
