Wlan interface does not exist

hi i am a newbie and totally do not know anything , so i got unused routerboard from someone,
the architecture is mmpis and the last version is 6.49.13

i want to use it as a repeater for my modem/router.
i watched some youtube videos how to turn a mikrotik routerboard into a repeater.
but i can not find wlan in wireless interface.
i checked the wireless package exist.
i updated it into router v7, downloaded and installed all the packages still can not fix the problem.
wifi qcom seems doesnt support mmpis.

my question,
does it because the routerboard not support the wireless feature as a repeater?
or i am too dumb to use it ?

thank you.

The only products I’m aware of that have the mmips architecture are the hex and hex s. These do not have integrated wifi, they’re only wired routers.

Check the type of the device again to make sure.

There’s also RBM33G (which can use external cards to add wifi) and LTAP LTE6 (and LR8G version).
LTAP LTE6 does have wifi as default.

@OP: on the bottom of the device should be a label with the exact model.
Then you can search for the specs to see what can be done or not (or ask here).

model : hex RB750Gr3
that is helpful, if you do not mind, could you share the link to buy the external card ?

it is hex , RB750Gr3

I stand corrected

There is no card for your device (there isn’t even a slot for one). It’s a wired router only - a quite popular model at that. But still only wired.

Exactly.

Hex does have USB port but as far as I know there is no support for USB-Wifi dongles.

thank you, that is so sad that it doesnt support for wireless feature, i guess i will buy a new one
