Hello guys
I have an omnitik radio which does not have security profile item on wlan setting in winbox. when i use command line and set security profile on wlan it doesn’t actually work.
do you have any solution to solve this problem?
What’s the RouterOS version?
The version is the latest stable version 6.47.4
Is it your 539’th Mikrotik device or your first one? I.e. how likely is a misconfiguration? If you are not 100% sure about the configuration, post the export of it, following the anonymization guidelines in my automatic signature below.
No! this is not the first time that I have encountered a Mikrotik device.
Is there any configuration which can hide WLAN security profile?!

I see you are using nv2 as Wireless Protocol, is this device used for point-2-point connection?
In Winbox, press “Wireless” in the leftmost part of the window, a window titled “wireless tables” will open. In that window, there is the |Security Profiles| tab. This window is missing on your screenshot.
A security profile can be used by more than one interface, so it is a separate object in the configuration tree, not a subtree of each wireless interface. That’s why you cannot find it among the tabs of the window representing the configuration of a particular wireless interface.
For the “if I create the security profile using command line, it doesn’t work” part, I need a text export of the configuration, not the bunch of screenshots.
No, but all the clients are Mikrotik so that it doesn't cause any problem.
I’m not looking fore ‘security profile’ tab! I have that option and I have made a security profile however I can not assign the security profile to a specific WLAN, as you can see there is no security profile in wlan configuration to assign a security profile which i have made before!
Ah, sorry. Then you should follow @erlinden’s soft hint and change the mode from nv2 to any or 802.11, the drop-down menu to choose a security profile will appear right below.
