Woobm - Not working

Hi,

I have bought myself a Woobm to manage routers with usb port.
However I have discovered that the Woobm won’t work with my hEX routers. (That is the only router type available to me with an usb port)
Firmware Woobm: 1.1
Firmware hEX: 6.44

If I plug it into my laptop and connect to the Woobm WiFi, everything is fine.
Ping response time: ~1-2ms (No load on the Woobm CPU)
Web management: Working flawless, load time: ~1-2s

If I plug it into a hEX and connect to the Woobm WiFi, the performance is absolutely horrible.
Ping response time: all over the place, never below 60ms; mixed with no ping response for a very long time period
Web management: Not working, sometimes fragments of it are loaded
Telnet: Partial working, but with unusable time offset

Does anybody have any clue, as to why this is happening?

Do a quick check of the USB voltage coming from hEX. If you have one of these USB power meters, check that it doesn’t drop when loaded.
The Woobm WIFI part should boot and work even when plugged in power-only port (like USB power-bank). So if that’s not even working correctly on hEX, it looks like it can’t supply enough power to it to run wifi properly…

I’m running the hEX via the supplied power supply, which delivers 24V, 380mA.

I will do that voltage/ampere check, I have to get a USBpower meter first :slight_smile:
