I had tested the original RB-750UP a couple of years ago but found it somewhat unreliable, especially if more than three devices were powered on by the router. Also it was prone to malfunction (POE out on some ports died on two occassions), but my cables were not shielded in my test setup so that could have been a factor.
So on to the main topic. I was wondering if any WISPs have experience using the HEX POE as a tower router (with POE-out) and what is a good battery backup solution for such a setup.
Our typical mini POP includes 1 router, 1 P2P and 2 APs. That should be less than 30W under full load.
Any shared experiences/suggestions are welcome.
