When using Radius for wireless authentication, is it possible to use the username that is entered when connecting from a client device rather than their MAC address?
The only options I can see are to use the MAC address as username or as the username & password.
Nevermind! I was a bit hasty in posting this and found that the router sends radius requests for the MAC address and then the username & password on the device connecting via. WiFi.
The bit that confused me in the manual was the following:
“wireless - wireless client authentication (client’s MAC address is sent as User-Name)”
