Hello
I am going to change from wep to wpa on my network.
I have over 200 radios to change so I want to get it right ![]()
Rge defaut seems to have wpapsk wpapsk and tkip ticked.
Should I just stick with that? what is aes and eap, do I need them?
Thanks ![]()

EAP is Extensible Authentication Protocol, that provides a lot of authentication methods for end-users. You will find more information in google.
Trivial scenario of used EAP,
RADIUS Server (that could provide different EAP authentication methods) - MikroTik AP (relaying autnetication to RADIUS) - Client with specific configuration to accept provided RADIUS security settings.
AES-CCM - more secure WPA encryption protocol, based on the AES (Advanced Encryption Standard).

I dont use raduis or anything like that.
What one should I choose?
Do they have preformance impacts? (I use r52/cm9/sr2)
Thanks!
You may use ‘wpa-psk’ or ‘wpa2-psk’, then user requires predefined ‘psk’ in wireless settings.
