WRITE usage of disk

Knowing mortality of flash disks, doms and SSD units, when they are intensively used for writing, which is the typical read and write usage of disks made by Mikrotic?
Does it use disks only for boot and configuration, or does it use disks also for routine operations?

Regards,

Tonino

only writes wear out the flash storage (nand, ssd, SD cards etc.) and writes you can see in '/system resource print

[admin@RB1000] > sy resource print
                   uptime: 1w5m42s
                  version: 5.8

             total-memory: 516304KiB

                cpu-count: 1
            cpu-frequency: 1333MHz
                 cpu-load: 5%

          total-hdd-space: 61440KiB

46568 sector writes in how much time? 1 day or 1 week?

It is a lot. So I have the impression it is safer to use a normal HD.

Tonino

So, is it reccomended to use flash/SSD/DOM or not?
Based on your experience, are they reliable with MT, or would it be better to use normal disks?

Thanks,

Tonino

24mb is a lot to write? Flash is fine for this, just buy good flash, use an IDE to CF adapter (not usb) and replace it as often as you would a hard drive…

it’s a lot if it’s all to the same sector
