ive crashed my RB230 trying to load 2.9RC4; LILO freezes. Im trying to recover the flash connecting to an IDE adapter on a computer runing linux. Can anyone help me out on what exactly needs to be done to get the flash back into a bootable state?
If you just want to start over fresh, you should download the CD Install image from the MT website and burn it to a disk. The CD will then boot up, format your flash, and install a fresh copy of RouterOS on your flash card, ready to boot. Thiis can be done on any PC or x86 SBC, and then the flash moved to the target x86 board for final configuration.
