Hi,
there exist some well documented ranges of IPs that are reserved just for this purpose: use in documentazion examples!
https://www.iana.org/assignments/iana-ipv4-special-registry/iana-ipv4-special-registry.xhtml
Are named TEST-NET-1, TEST-NET-2 and TEST-NET-3 and has the advantage of not confusing people with the use of eg. 172.16.16.1 as “internet WAN IP”.
Best regards

Agree, at least when there suppose to be public IP address. Using a private range does make things confusing if it’s not a “LAN” in example.
But “non-RFC compliance problem” is also in the videos. One I watch recently, show the DNS server as an example of public IP.
Well, in what should be the most basic document by Mikrotiik, the “Simple Static Routing” here:
https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Simple_Static_Routing
the IP given by the ISP is 10.1.1.2/30 and gateway is 10.1.1.1, besides, there are two PC’s on LAN2 with same address, 192.168.2.3 (I guess for this latter it was just a test to see if the reader was paying attention
)
