x86 installation doesn't re-write MBR

Trying to install V3.10 on an X86 which previously contained Ubuntu on two SATA drives.

The installation appears to go through without problem, including reformatting the drive, but when I reboot the original Linux GRUB menu kicks in and then hangs as there’s no OS it recognises - I presume.

Do I just use a Windows startup disk to reset the MBR or is it more complicated?

It should rewrite MBR. Try to install using latest image (v3.25)

I agree that’s not the problem - see my later post

I can’t even install the latest image (v3.25) in order to licence it!
