I am looking for good x86 MainBoard that fully support (chipsets) with MikroTik.
Could You recommend any? It should support 7-th generation Intel processor.
Need additional information
- What OS do you want to run
- What kind of throughput are you wanting to achieve
- What kind of redundancy do you want
- What is your electrical power budget
- What interfaces do you want and how many
- What is the $ budget or is $ unlimited
You haven’t understood me…
I need to run MikroTik RouterOS on it. It should have min. two pci-e slots and Intel 7-th generation support.
No one using new x86 based platforms for MikroTik RouterOS?
I do, but only as VM on top of ESXi.
I haven’t installed RouterOS on baremetal for ages. I don’t know what’s supported and what not nowadays.
Maybe you should send a ticket at support@mikrotik.com to let you know about the latest supported hardware since they completely deleted the supported hardware wiki page and replaced it with a peripherals page which in your case is useless.
Here’s the original page: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/index.php?title=Supported_Hardware&oldid=29726
