x86 Mikrotik Enterprise routers?

I used to be able to find some reliable x86 routers using Mikrotik RouterOS - Baltic had their MAXXWave line, and Titan Wireless had their Mikronoc line, but alas,Titan was bought by ISP Supplies, and no longer makes the Mikronoc routers, and the latest MAXXwave is a VM monstrosity which caused some major drama when we attempted to use one last year. Lanner still makes appliances which look like they might work, but it’s not clear how compatible their hardware is with RouterOS.

Is anyone using a pretty-new x86/Xeon type of router running RouterOS for use as in a high-end capacity? If so, where did you find it? If you’ve configured and deployed a Lanner box like this, what was the process? Any hidden dangers?

My goal is to run full-route BGP over 10GB fiber, and I’m worried about stability issues on a Cloud Core Router 1072, so I want a bulletproof solution.

Thanks in advance,
– Darren

I haven’t used them, but Axiomtek have some interesting options
