x86 setup usb flash + 2xHDD fos SMB need help

Hi dudes,

This are my first attempts with MikroTik. I have http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-67365 , one usb flash memory, 2 x 1 TB HDDs, one WiFi adapter, 1 additional pci LAN and one additional pci-e 1x LAN adapters.

I want to install the router os on USB flash drive, the 2 additional LAN adapters as WAN dual port load balance, integrated gigabit lan bridged with USB WiFi as internal interface and the 2 SATA HDDs as SMB (nas storage).

In the CD Install i can’t choose where to install the Router OS (USB FLASH). When all 3 storage drives are connected Rouer OS installs on HDD.
It only installs on USB flash when i disconnect the HDDs, and the installer sees USB FLASH as SATA1 !!! what prevents me to add two sata HDDs after installation (first drive conflicts with USB flash).

I need a hand…

Can i add usb flash drivers to the install CD ?
Change some settings on install CD ?
Any clue ?

That’s funny. Read this first http://www.mikrotik.com/pdf/what_is_routeros.pdf and laugh after. And find an better use of those hdd’s.

Should be simple enough. Run Netinstall in some Windows PC, and install on this USB flash disk from Netinstall. Then boot your Lenovo from the USB flash disk you just installed on that other PC.
