x86 shutdowns down after boot

Hi,

We have downloaded latest x86 version of RouterOS (6.37.1) which is installed on a USB stick (due to lack of drivers for sas controller). Installation runs fine and on the first boot everything looks ok. As soon as we reboot the server again it boots up and a few seconds after presenting the login screen it switches off. We’re running a trial at the moment (basically want to confirm the performance problems we’re experiencing with our other routerboards are due to a need to upgrade the hardware) so we need it to run for 12 hours as part of a test, but need to ensure the router remains stable. Is the boot issue due to the trial license or another problem? Tried 2 different servers (same make and age) and a PC - all with the same issue.

Thanks,
Carel

Hi carel

I have the same issues with an (virtual) installation of ros x86. First boot is fine, everything works, system tells me that i have 24 hours to install a license, i can configure and use it etc.

But after first reboot it shuts down after about 2 seconds on login prompt. I first thought this would maybe be an issue with my virtualized system, but if i understand you right you have the same problems on real hardware?

After looping trough this several times i was able to catch the output written on screen before shutdown. And yes - it tells something about license issues - so this seems to be a software problem.

sorry, cannot solve this, but maybe it helps you or mikrotik
