Note: Our systems have been upgrade from 5.8 to 5.11. We hit the now well known bugs, we downgraded to 5.8 and it wasn’t as stable as before. It just kept flapping the sessions with our peers. We upgraded to 5.12 and the lack of stability continues.
X86 seems to have a problem: printing the advertisements does not work correctly. The advertisements function as specified by filters but some networks do not show up. They used to work in 5.8. However using any looking glass from upstream providers the networks that do not show up in ROS 5.12 show up in the upstream routing table. As I’ve noticed only /32 announcements do not show up. We are only using /routing bgp network for upstream advertisements so maybe it’s somehow correlated with that.
Also, the sessions have to be re-established for the announcement to work, this also wasn’t necessary in 5.8.
We are also getting a lot of flapping with our peers. We checked everything, it’s ROS related for sure.
Can someone else check/confirm these bugs?
