Hi guys! I’m renting a flat with Wi-fi included, and it uses Mikrotek login. With the router downstairs it works fine, but with the extender it doesn’t. I can open the login page when using it, but I can’t login most of the time (sometimes it works for a few seconds before I’m disconnected). When I try to login, I get the error message “web browser did not send challenge response (try again, enable JavaScript)”. JS is obviously not the problem since it works with the extender. I tried to search for a solution, and found e.g. http://forum.mikrotik.com/t/hotspot-problem-try-again-enable-javascript-urgent/66253/1 . But from what I understand these are settings in the extender? The “beauty” of the extender is that it only comes with a shitty half Chinese half English software for Android, and after the initial setup I can’t see the extender in the list anymore so I can’t change any settings on it in the app. Is there some other way?
You should ask on the forum related to that device. This forum is about mikrotik things. But you can get an advice here: use another mikrotik Ap instead your non working extender.
