We’ve always had an Orinoco AP1000 going to a 500mw AMPLIFIER. I thought since Mikrotik was so good I’d replace that with an RB433, XR2 600mw wireless card, and everything should be fine? NOPE. Clients are calling in all the time saying they have to reboot their router if the connection goes idle, and connections are always intermittent. I’ve kept the frequency channel the same. Any idea’s? I really need some help otherwise I’ve have to dump mikrotik and go back to the old equipment. There are lots of settings on the advanced portion, any help would be great.
We have 48 Clients with fixed external antenna’s on “B ONLY” 2.4Ghz. We never had any problems until I pulled the 500mw Amplifier and old Orinoco AP out and replaced with a 600mw XR2 in a RB433 Mikrotik.
