XR5 in routerboard in the 5.4-5.7GHz bands...

I have been unable to connect 2 XR5 cards in RB433’s in the 5.4-5.7GHz bands.

ROS 5.14 on all gear. In super channel mode. For testing, no_country_set

Supposedly, the XR5 is fully supported in the 5.4-5.7GHz band when used with DFS.

MT supports DFS.

I can get the cards to connect in the 5180-5320MHz band and in the 5745-5825MHz band.

But no matter how I try to set it up, I can’t get them to link in the 5.4-5.7GHz band.

I’ve tried both with DFS on and off…

I’ve sorta run out of things to try…

Ideas?

Take a look at the center frequency for your antennas.

The frequencies you specify are available when country is set to “no_country_set”. Try changing to any other country and see how list of available channels (frequencies) changes.

Is it something as simple as adjusting the scan list from default to say 5440,default for example? we have a few freq that are legit but not on the default scan list so despite setting the ap to freq xxxx the su wont scan so it never finds it. We just change scan list to that freq and then comma default so it has it and all defaults.

Just a thought.

Tom

It was the scan list.

Figured it out a few days ago with the guys on the UBNT forums.

Thanks, though.
