XR5 - system reboots spontaneously - RB11 issue?

Hi,

I just bought two piece of XR5 and I have some problems with. The system configuration is: celeron@2667Mhz, 512ddr2 Twinmos, MB: Gigabyte, RB11 Power Supply: ThermalTake 420W pure power, Mikrotik 2.9.45 and 3.0 rc! The problems is that the system reboots spontaneously. After I have read on this forum someone had a rb532 and fixed the problem with a power source of 48V! I changed the power settings from default to 22dB and it works just fine! I think that rb11 is the problem, I also tried to change rb11 with another and I also tried other computer systems but the problem was the same! Can anybody give me a advice?

Best regards,

Looks like xr5 was wanting more power. We had the same issue with sr5. upgraded the power supply, no problem at all after that

Unless they’ve redesigned the RB11, the onboard 3.3V regulator can not supply enough current to power an XR5 at full output. That’s why it works when you lower the power.

The problem is that XR5 needs 3.3V, not 5V :frowning:

I solved the problem by replacing rb11 with other adapter from other vendor and works fine!

thanks all

I please beg u to tell me what the adapter´s codename, brand, name is!!

i have the same issue on all my adapters, including rb11, pcengines adapter MPCI.1B and some embedded adapters from another boards.

Thanks in advance

I was having the same issue and got the RB14 card and it has fixed the problem for me.
