Hi there , i am currently running SR5 wirelss cards on R532A router boards over a distance of approximately 45 Kms. problem arises when we install the new XR5 wireless cards , then the signal strength immediately drops from -71 dbm to -90 dbm . We tried a couple of these cards and they all do the same , ended up replacing it with the original SR5 cards.

This may sound a little simple…what antenna port are you using on the XR5? It has only one port and it should be set to antenna ‘A’. The SR5 cards had two ports - A and B - and if you were like me I continued to use the MMCX connectors instead of the UFL, so the SR5 was set to antenna port B… and I had to use antenna port A on the XR5.
That was the first thing we did , replaced the pigtails and used the other port. We had no problem connecting to the other wireless card , the problem was that our signal strengthed dropped from -75dbm to -92dbm . We used 5 different cards , all having the same effect , so we ended up replacing the original SR5 cards and pigtails.
