I would really like to know why do you want to look and feel more and more like Microsoft?
Why do you publish new versions of ROS that very often fuck up something in the old configs ??
Few days ago I have updated some of my routers from 6.17 to newest version, and suddenly they stop to upload config file to my ftp server and also stopped to send the same file by mail ?!?!?
After some investigation I have found that new scheduler policy (ftp) was introduced in newer versions, and unless it is checked, sending a file by email or ftp will not work !
I am not talking about rocket science, or some obscure parameter in some deep down menu, it is freakin scheduler.
It is annoying when something like you report happens and I sympathize. it has been the nature of Mikrotik since forever. Like most of us you have learnt the hard way how to deploy Mikrotik upgrades now they wont catch you out again. Look at is as a kind of initiation ceremony we all go through Lol. Now if Mikrotik forced upgrades on us like MS do that would be a whole different story.
I am always amazed when someone refuses to read the release notes, then posts here trying to shame and insult MikroTik for the end user ignorance. The only thing you have accomplished is showing us that you have no place in the I.T. field, and that you will not take responsibility for your own actions.

Scheduler needs at least the same permissions as your user. This is quite logical. Previously there was a bug that was fixed now. We will add an improvement where the Log will throw an error, so you can easily catch the issue.

Problem that I have described was not mentioned or described in release notes, WHICH I HAVE RED CAREFULLY FYI and as you can see in explanation made by Normis it was a bug !!
