Hello, I would like to ask why is the snmp not important to RouterOS developers ? Its implementation is very basic, and very different based on hardware. For example simple thing as monitoring PSU state, only ccr1009 has it, one would think its surely included on the more expensive hardware also, but nope ccr1072 doesent have it. Talking about ccr1072, in system healt alone it has 12 variables, from snmp you can only see 2 of them. In 6.43.8 snmp variable for wireless ccq was "added", that could help alot in monitoring wireless link quality, but woops someone forgot to actualy include it in firmware, because its actualy not existing currently and not even in latest test release. Is Mikrotik realy ment only for home use? Because anything more seriouse usualy comes with monitoring and currently its very limited.

I do agree that SNMP does miss allot of function. But you can make your way around it. As long as you can see the data on the MT itself, you can send it out using script and syslog to send it out. I hva done this to get a various data from the MT to Splunk (syslog server). Se my signature link for more info.

Sadly not using Splunk currently, will have to check if prtg scripting will help.
