Hi,

is there anything special to watch out for when installing RouterOS 7 beta2?

I copied the npk to RAM as I normally do for other upgrades and rebooted. But there was no wifi and there was no means to connect to the device.

Device is hAP ac2. Current version is the long term 6.44.5 . There is some config on the device (WAN1 as AP Bridge, WAN2 as Station bridge, everything bridged together with the eternet ports, DHCP server active and IP adresses set (192.168.231.2) . Worked fine in this config. Always able to connect, if not by IP address it was via MAC address.

After installation RouterOS 7beta2 nothing was responsive. Nothing on the wifi and nothing on any ethernet port. Winbox did not discover the RouterOS device. The old known MAC address did not respond either. Restarted (power off/power on), restarted with config reset, nothing worked.

Reloaded previous RouterOS via Netinstall to gain full access.

What did I do wrong ? I did not try RouterOS 7 beta1. Should I just try again, or load 6.45.6 or 6.46beta or 7beta1 first ??? Or clear the config first ?

Install latest 6.46 Beta, and Then ROS7

Confirmed. This works, after upgrading to 6.46beta and updating bootloader (Routerboard upgrade).
