rb2011 with 7.1beta slow WAN Speed

Fri Aug 28, 2020 4:45 pm

Hi guys,

i have a problem with the newest beta. I use the router in an home enviroment and need the router for daily work.
Problem is i cant achieve with latest beta my maximum WAN speeds anymore. I already connected a laptop to my internet moden and this isnt the problem.

I did a complete reset of my rb2011 but also with complete default config i only get about 100mbit from 200mbit what my ISP gives me.
I tested the speed on different speedtest pages. In the first 2-3 seconds the speedtest shows me my 200mbit but drop to 100mbit

I have the problem with 7.1beta1 and 7.1beta2.
What i dont understand also after again downgrading to 6.47.2 i have this speed problems.

Do you have an idea whats causing this? Also switched the wan interface from sfp1 to ether1 to check theres nothing broken on the port. Siwtched also WAN Cable.

Don't use beta if you need it. It is experimental at this stage.

Short Update, i wrote with support and they were only telling me to downgrade.

There is something wrong with routing. One plugin was the wan Speed but also local routering between the networks.
CPU was every time at 100%
