R11e-LTE6 not working in 7.1beta6

Sat Jun 12, 2021 5:20 pm

So I tried to put beta6 on a SXT R with R11e-LTE6 modem and the lte interface won't become active. It is saying new modem firmware is available even though I have latest fw installed via 6.x. When I downgrade to 6.48.3 it works again.

Also tried AT+RESET. Log (topic=lte) doesn't show anything.. monitor shows that rf circuit is disabled?
/interface/lte> monitor 0
;;; A newer version of modem firmware is available!
     pin-status: ok
functionality: tx and rx rf circuit disabled
   manufacturer: "MikroTik"
          model: "R11e-LTE6"
       revision: R11e-LTE6_V027
           imei: 3566621002....
Should this modem work under 7.x already?

EDIT: I have not tested any earlier 7.x beta with LTE. And can't since they are not available any more...

This is a common issue with beta6, go back to beta5.

There are lot of reports with beta6 not working with LTE, do the fix is to either to go to beta5 or switch to v6.

that's yet another great example of how poorly this beta is being managed. You have to guess the url, but it's easy. Just substitute 6 (in 2 places) for the revision you want to revert to in the url below.

No one force the use of beta (Chateau apart), and as beta are perfectly normal to ask to try the latest only.

while you are right (noone forces me), your argument does nothing to rebuke my observation. It's orthogonal.

I'd suggest your team gets their shit together instead of arguing with the customers.

This is USER forum, I'm a USER of this forum, you do not notice it?

Ah no, you were too busy complaining.

@gdanov, from the top of your experience teach us, how many router software have you ever made?

MikroTik is not "the others" and neither of you produces software for Routers, so all jokes, judgement and protests leave the time they find.

Software is software, dear snowflake, regardless if it's for router, arduino, smartphone or enterprise business. Organisations also are very much alike, controlling for size and culture. Whatever specific questions you have w.r.t. software delivery processes and quality, I'd be happy to share my expertise.
