Issue with Bonding with LACP on 7.1beta6

Sat Aug 21, 2021 9:48 am

Hi everyone, I am new to Mikrotik and just purchased 2 units of CRS326-24G-2S+. Was trying out the MLAG feature on RouterOS v7 beta version, and found out the bonding with LACP inter-switch was having intermittent when plugging in both connection, as well as trying to detach one of the link to simulate failure. MLAG was working fine though when the bonding interface is up, and also when I use normal ports for inter-switch without bonding. Anyone can advise me if it is a known issue on v7, or something wrong with the design or even my configuration. I am just testing out feature at the moment by the way, and therefore no VLAN configured for now. Thanks.

This was reported by forum user mazza in the v7.1beta6 thread: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=175369#p866622

I encountered it as well when testing MLAG between two CRS326s and a CCR2004. Everything would work correctly at first, but would start misbehaving after unplugging/replugging individual links. The issue wasn't limited to MLAGs -- normal 802.3ad bonds that work fine under v6.48.3 were also misbehaving in v7.1beta6.

It wasn't addressed directly, but this reply makes me think MikroTik is aware and planning to fix it in the next beta: viewtopic.php?f=1&t=175369&start=300#p867762
