I set up a payment gateway through paypal using Mikrotik's user manager. I have a routerboard with user manager both on V4.17
WHAT IS HAPPENING:
1. User connects to the hotspot.
2. User gets the sign on page and links over to the user manager sign on page.
3. User creates an account and selects paypal as the payment method. At this point an account is created in the user manager.
4. User is directed to paypal site, pays, PAYMENT IS DONE , we recieve payment .
5. At usermanager the account is created but without profile (no time)
6. There is no confirmation from paypal received to confirm this account and open user time (profile- time to use)
7. Customer try to log in, message will appear (user doesn’t exist.)

can you help where is the problem?

In my case, if I create the user manually on the user manager, it works perfectly. Radius on the same router (RB750).

The problem is when creating the user paying through Paypal. The user is created, and appears on the usermanager. But if you try to access the Internet through the hotspot page, it always returns that user does not exists.

If users access sign-up page from a local address which is not accessible from outside (global Internet) and use payment to buy profile which is not free customer must have public host address configured. This address is needed by PayPal and Authorize.Net, payment response will be sent to it

You mean to set the public IP as public host on Customer fields?

Solved!

Take a look at these suggestions:

1) Make sure you have configured an email-client in /tool e-mail.
2) Make sure your SSL certificate is updated (Paypal will validate it) and you have ntp-client sincronized.
3) Public host must be a public IP. If you don't have it, then you need to redirect 443 (if you have secure response enabled in userman configuration).

Everything is working in v5.25 and v6.3 too!

I already use it, but now I'm trying to setup the signup for users to create their own account.
I think I read all the documents but I never managed to view the signup page. I think I meet all tre requirements: I don't want paypal neither otherpayment method, just created a free profile (in documentation it says this should be sufficient) so I expect it is not important the public ip address and certificates. Anyway I tried to set public-host
Mail is configured and running
Time is synchronized

I can't get it in 6.3, downgraded to 5.25, but the same.

based on my configuration:
I tried appears the login form of normal usermanager (but just the form, I am not redirected to the http://myaddress/userman page, that is if I insert user and password as it was the normal usermanager login, I receive "invalid username and password").

Anyone can help?
