Connection Problems with RB2011UiAS-2HnD - broken switch1?

Sat Feb 06, 2016 5:46 pm

Edit: On post 2 i wrote what i already tried.

Hey guys,

i need your help because i have no idea where to start to search for the problem.
I have an RB2011 with 6.34.1 installed.

Yesterday i started to install moonlight on my raspberry (stream games from pc to the raspberry)
I tested it on my desk with an default netgear switch.

After the tests it worked fine so i put the raspberry to my tv and plugged in the network cable from the rb2011.

The problem is now that the streaming is not working, the streaming session is started but only some fps get transported to the raspberry. When i look into the log on the raspberry i see tons of this messages about queued or loosed rtp packages:
Network dropped middle of a frame
Discarding RTP packet queued for too long
Discarding RTP packet after queue overgrowth
Network dropped beginning of a frame

I changed already all cables and it didnt helped. I also tested it again over the netgear switch and there it works fine.
In the moment the connections goes over the rb2011 i have these problems.
What i dont understand is, that the connections is running straight over lan and the rb2011 has nothing to route, the connection should be running fine over layer 2 but why i have this problems?

Hopefully you have some information where i can start to search for the problem.

EDIT:
Found something out.
When i use one of the ports 1-5 i have the problem with the lost packages,
but when i use one of the 100mbit ports 6-10 the connection is working fine! My PC is connected to port 1
Anybody has an idea or have i something misconfigured?
I have the default config with Port 1 Master and 2,3,4,5 Slave and Port 6 Master and 7,8,9,10 slave

Re: Problem with dropped or queued RTP Packages?

Sun Feb 07, 2016 10:26 pm

Hey guys,

the problem is still there.

I found following out:
When the rpi and pc is connected to switch1 i recieve this errors.
When i connect the rpi OR the pc to switch2 the problem is gone.
When the rpi and pc is connected to switch2 the problem is gone.

I already did reset configuration and did not apply the old configuration but the error still persist!!
So i think the switch1 is broken?! Anybody know how i could test the switch1 for errors?
I couldnt find any errors on the interfaces.

Hopefully anybody has an idea
